Cathy Battle operates a private counseling practice in Conway, South Carolina, where she has been a resident since 1980. Married since 1976, and the mother of three grown children, Cathy has first hand knowledge of the pressures, commitment required, and joy in raising a family and maintaining a strong marriage.
Cathy is a graduate of the University of South Carolina where she earned a BA degree in Sociology, returning later to finish a Masters Degree, and an Educational Specialist Degree in Counselor Education. She is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, a Licensed Professional Counselor, an Advanced Imago Relationship Clinician, an Imago Couples Workshop Presenter, and is trained in EMDR Level II.
Cathy is committed to empowering individuals and couples to be successful in all aspects of their lives. She views the conflict in marriage, committed partnerships, and family relationships as an opportunity for personal growth, the growth that is necessary to reach your true human potential. Cathy possesses the expertise required for effective counseling with couples, relationships, and individuals. Her genuine love for her work, and personal warmth help to create a comfortable counseling environment that encourages personal growth and healing.
Based on her specific training in Imago Relationship Therapy and as an Imago Workshop Presenter, Cathy is uniquely qualified to work with couples in private counseling sessions. Through her training in EMDR, Cathy is qualified to help individuals suffering from major and minor traumic experiences, PTSD.
The Imago tools and theories are also presented as Single's Training effective in working with individual clients.
